I only have a few odds and ends to pick up this week.
We are going to John's Mom for Christmas eve dinner and then she
will join us Christmas Day along with one of John's friends from

DECEMBER ALREADY......................

I can't believe it's December already. Katie and I did our share of helping the
economy on Black Friday. We shopped for about 6 hours and only made a dent
in the Christmas shopping. I did do some shopping online and I do believe that
next year I will be doing alot of that.

We are going to get the tree up this weekend and start decorating the house.
I have decided not to put out too much this year.

We spent a quite Thanksgiving at home this year. Just the 4 of us and John's
Mom.
Working on a Christmas project - will share later with pictures - If it turns out
like I hope it does.

Memphis Junior's Tryout

Katie had tryouts at Memphis Junior volleyball club last night. She played for them last year and this year she really improved in volleyball so much. The competitive league is really good for the girls who are serious about volleyball in their high school years.
She got a call last night after we got home and she made the Elite Team. She was thrilled.
It will require some travel on some weekends but not to far that I don't think we can't handle.
I am so proud of her. She has earned it and she will give the team her very best!
Congrats Katie Bug!! Mom loves you!

Fall's in the Air----

Fall has arrived in North Mississippi. This morning the temp was 44. The leaves
are changing and the cool crisp air is really nice. Yesterday I had a pot of
chili cooking for dinner. Great for a cool night.
Today, John goes back to work after his surgery 2 weeks ago. I know he was
ready to get back on his schedule.
I forget to post last week that both Katie and Jacob made Honor Roll on their
report cards- Yea- I'am so proud of both of them.
I want to take the kids out this weekend and get some fall pictures of them
and that is only if they will coorporate. At this age is hard to do photos with
them. Oh and before I forget-- Jacob wore the right shirt to make Mom happy.
The DAWGS stomped LSU- Sorry Dad!

Last Night for Middle School Volleyball

Tonight was the the OB tourn. for 8th grade volleyball. Lewisburg lost to Southaven. They played a good game but could not pull out the win. Katie had a good year in volleyball this year. She was Captain of the team.
Next for Katie is tryouts for Memphis Juniors on Nov. 3rd. The competitive league. It's volleyball all year long. She loves it and I guess that is all that matters.

Ready for school and work

Today is the last day for Fall break so the kids are back to school and I am back to work
YEA!!!!
We got the pathology report on John today and the cancer was confined to the kidney and
it was not in the lymph node at all. The doctor said we caught it early and that is the
best news. John is feeling really good and walking around and taking it easy. We will see
how long he will be out of work. My guess is not long.

Pumpkins

I saw a picture of these in the Paula Deen magazine and I have to copy them. They turned out so good. All I did was use a black sharpie and make the circles and tie cute halloween ribbon on the the stems- :0
